Legends and Weaknesses of a Baobhan Sith
The Baobhan Sith, (pronounced baa’-van shee), are known to approach their victims by inviting them to dance. When the victim is too exhausted to run, the Baobhan Sith feeds upon them, sucking their blood until they die.
In some legends the creature doesn’t have fangs like vampires to draw blood. They use their sharp fingernails to do the job. Their hands appear lovely and ordinary until they attack then the talons appear.
What are their weaknesses? Sunlight will kill them. Iron can harm them and will eventually kill them. In one legend, the Boabhan Sith fears horses and will try to lure a hunter from his perch before she attacks him. Since her beauty is difficult to resist, the rider usually dismounts and leaves his horse behind to meet his fate.
In my vampire mythology in Soul Taker I have taken creative license with the Boabhan Sith myth by incorporating my own spin on the legend. My character, Garran MacLaurin is a Grim Sith. This sept of vampires created by a powerful Baobhan Sith. Fallon, Garran’s maker, was the first Baobhan Sith to create what is now called the Grim Sith sept, the male species of this vampire clan.

About the Book Soul Taker:

No soul is safe…

A vampire from the Grim Sith sept is sucking the souls out of young women from the Boston area, but this sinister crime is far worse than a vampire seeking substance. He’s selling the souls to the highest bidder and it seems business is booming.

A vampire, a werewolf, and a Necromancer are a most unlikely team, but Garran, Harrison, and Isabella plan on putting a kink in the dubbed Soul Taker’s plans. It’s personal now. One of their friends has fallen victim to the Soul Taker’s charms, but to stop him from hurting anyone else, their efforts may involve raising the dead.

Thank you so much. I am so happy with the production of the audio for Soul Taker. Guy Veryzer did an fantastic job.

As for my buddy, Jack... I do love the little guy. He's a sweetheart. He's wearing a cone right now because he damaged his eye with one of those blasted tufted foxtail weeds. It pierced his eye duct and because he rubbed it with his paw, it caused a corneal abrasion. We're hoping he doesn't need surgery and it will heal on its own. May be months before we know for sure, but he had an appointment on Thursday to see how it's doing.

Anyway that was probably more than you wanted to know. lol Thanks so much for mentioning him and stopping with your kind words. :)
